6 Pack Abs

Don't forget to give those core muscles the workout they need! Not sure where to start? Looking for new exercises to challenge your abdominal and lower back areas? Come to our 6 Pack Abs class. This class will give your abdominal's and your lower back the attention they need!

Aquatics

Aqua Fit - A total body workout using water resistance to enhance intensity and cushion impact. Improve your cardiovascular stamina, muscular endurance and overall flexibility and strength.

Swim Lessons - Here at Fit One, Water Safety is a must and we are pleased to offer swimming lessons for all ages and any skill level. The swim classes are taught by qualified, friendly instructors. We have parent-tot classes for your water orientation right along with your child! The earlier a baby is introduced to the water, the more quickly they (and you) are comfortable and ready to learn! Parents are a big part of the water safety skills necessary to get the tot ready for swim lessons. After age two, children may be enrolled in a class at the basic level, semi-private or private lessons. Life Saving classes are also available on a pre-scheduled basis.

Kids Program - Kids will also be able to have an enjoyable safe time in the water this summer. Fit One will be offering a Kids Aqua Class this summer. At this class the kids will be able to participate in numerous pool games and activities, which are taught by a qualified, friendly instructor. The participants must be six years of age or older and know how to swim without a floatation devise. Have your children come enjoy the pool on those hot summer days.

In addition to the Kids Aqua Class, Fit One will also be offering a supervised swim during the weekdays of the summer months. Here you will be able to drop your children off at the pool while you work-out, while a qualified lifeguard will be on hand to supervise your children. The participants must be able to swim without a floatation devise, participants may be required to take a swim test.

Adult Program - Adults are also offered beginning skills through the Masters Swim program which challenges even the most seasoned swimmer. It's also a nice change in your workout routine! Aqua Aerobics uses the resistance of the water to further your everyday exercise program and includes cardiovascular conditioning and strength training. Lap swimming is offered daily and lanes may be reserved in advance.

The pools are kept at 80 degrees for laps and 84 degrees for lessons, and for your comfort and swimming pleasure. Try relaxing a few minutes in the jacuzzi hot tub at the end of the day as well!

Boot Camp

You bet you CAN do it. Improve not only your body, but your attitude!

Boot Camp is a military style fitness program designed by instructors based on their military and law enforcement experiences and training. With that knowledge combined with exercise physiology, boot camp offers the extreme challenge in physical fitness!

Tim Garcia, the programs director has had extensive experience in the schools, with D.A.R.E., and has developed this program for kids as well as adults. All levels of condition can get started-“it’s not where you’re at, but where you are going” that is accomplished in this program.

Class includes motivation, enthusiasm, discipline, team work, courage, physical strength and friendships-what’s NOT to like?

Boot Camp WILL challenge you, but it is fun and the results are great. The only thing left to do is enlist in the next class. Fit One Boot Camps are offered year-round in both morning and evening time slots. Kids classes are 4 week sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Adult classes are for 6 weeks, three times a week.

Boxing For Fitness

Here's a NEW and exciting way to burn calories, increase stamina, build strength, improve footwork and learn self defense techniques while having a lot of fun at the same time! Check out the Box Lunch, Early Bird Boxing, Kid's Boxing and Women's Boxing classes for something new and different in your exercise program!.

WHY BOXING IS GREAT FITNESS FUN!

It's high energy and burns incredible amounts of fat in very little time. Boxing is excellent for your eye-hand coordination. It increases your confidence for better self-protection. Boxing creates gorgeous upper arms and shoulders-improved posture too. It also tightens your butt and thighs and increases agility. Boxing is an excellent aerobic exercise for super heart and lungs. Boxing works your abs for a tight core and strength. You can box anywhere, anytime, alone or with a partner!

Butts & Guts

This 30 minute workout targets your gluts and abdominal's. Half of the class consists of a series of squats and lunges along with other gluts targeting exercises. The other half of this class focuses on abdominal exercises that are designed to strengthen your core muscles. This class is designed for all levels.

Cardio Kick Boxing

No ordinary cardio kick boxing class! Get ready to punch, kick and scream your way to cardio fun! Our turbo kick class is sure to burn a ton of calories while toning up your arms, legs and core muscles. Don't miss out on this fun filled class.

Chico Corsa Cycling Club

Our goal is to find cyclists in the local area who are interested in competitive racing then develop their skills and performance with team training and support . We enjoy participating in races and are bring competitive cycling back to Chico.

We take people from spinning and the community and offer them a new challenge - endurance cycling. Fit One brings riders together who share this passion for cycling. We meet regularly for organized training rides and century rides. Is is our endeavor to foster a supportive and encouraging environment for all to succeed in these challenges. Century rides are typically 35, 65 or 100 miles, and occasionally some are even longer.

FIRST STRING

Even Professional athletes have trainers, and now your kids can too! The program is designed to help kids reach their full potential as an athlete. It will boost confidence, develop speed and agility and teach the proper way to perform exercises at full intensity. We will push harder, keep track of progress and teach the correct exercises at the right time to train kids to become "first-stringers!"

All levels and ages encouraged to participate! Three levels of training from beginners to advanced to elite allow progression and build confidence! Come in and meet the trainers, including Joe Munson who is a former Miami Dolphin!

Fit Families For Life

This unique program is an educational opportunity for children ages 9-17 to work out along with their parent(s)! Fit Families for Life offers an opportunity for the entire family to receive training on the appropriate exercises for children, as well as proper technique and supervision policies. Safety for children and age appropriate exercises are stressed and risk factors are discussed.

We want to encourage families to work out together and enjoy our facility for it's variety and innovation. Children ages 9-13 MUST be under adult supervision, and teens 14-17 may workout on their own after they have been through a Fit Start or Fit Families seminar.

We are dedicated to the health and fitness of every family!

FIT FOR LIFE CHALLENGE

Qualified Personal Trainers will accompany, motivate, instruct and educate participants in the areas of Fitness and Nutirtion. For overweight people who are having trouble losing their weight and are looking for a great way to maintain a new body image.

Fit One Fusion

Not sure if you want to step, rebound or do some old fashion floor aerobics? Why not have it all in this class that is packed full with variety and fun. In this class we move between floor aerobics, the re bounder, and the step. Sometimes we add–in an obstacle course or jump rope or anything else that may excite you and take you by surprise. This class is perfect for all levels, even if you are new to rebounding and step.

GENERATION FIT

Our goal is to educate baby boomers and the senior population about the importance of health, fitness and nutrition, and above all socialization as the key to a happy and healthy lifestyle in the second half of our life!

Gentle Aerobics

Senior class suitable for beginners and/or all levels of exercise. The class offers everything from a full body workout to flexibility, balance, light weight training and stretching. Includes low impact cardio to music and body sculpting. GenFit program.

Tired of the same old workout? Why not try something new? Exercise the dance way while you get an exceptional cardio workout! Learn funky dance steps, hip-hop style as your burn calories and laugh your way to fitness. It’s wild, involves coordination and style and is crazy fun. Give it a Try!

Gravity

At Fit One Athletic Club we pride ourselves on providing you with the most effective, efficient, and safest Gravity Training. Offered exclusively at Fit One Athletic Club, GRAVITY is the evolution of traditional mat and reformer based Pilate's. The Gravity Training System (GTS) offers Pilates-evolved exercises, focusing on core and postural perfection. Using the freedom of a free-moving glide board, adjustable pulley system and your own body weight as resistance, GRAVITY provides bio-mechanical sound versatility unknown to any traditional Pilate's reformer. The adjustable tower height of the GTS allows for progressive and individualized results, accommodating to all ages and abilities. get ready for the most enjoyable and rewarding Pilate's experience imaginable! The GRAVITY Training System is a dynamic relationship between equipment and and program design. Jungle Gym-KIDS ZONE

At Fit One we offer the friendliest childcare around, and it is included in your membership, free until they are 14!

Families are our #1 priority, and the Jungle Gym staff guarantees your children a fun, safe environment while you enjoy your work out worry free.

In addition to FREE classes such as karate, hip hop, or tumble tots, we also have swimming lessons (see aquatics) and a fabulous play area out back with basketball and play equipment! There are toys,books, games, and a bouncy house plus a huge 'rock wall' all to keep healthy bodies active and having fun! We promote lots of outside activities to help develop big muscle groups.

We also have ADVENTURES in LEARNING educational activity pages with monthly themes to encourage active minds as well.

Birthday Parties: Here at Fit One we will provide you with all the essentials for a fabulous kid’s birthday party! You can choose to have us plan the party, providing everything from invitations and decorations and cake, or you can plan the party yourself and use the Fit One facility-either way, it will be a party for your child to remember! Birthday parties are 2-3 hours long and include 4- 16 children. Available ideas are Karate party, Rock Climbing Party, Swim party, or Bounce House party and many theme parties. NEW- If you have a TEEN and want to have a birthday party here, we will reserve and rent the facility for you as well! You plan and staff the event, or we will! Call for date availibility and fee.

Baby Showers Getting ready for a little one? We can produce your baby shower for you! We take care of it all, from the decorating and food, to the cake, party favors and games! Kids Night Out: Here’s your chance for a break! Drop the kids off for 4 hours of movies, games, arts & crafts, dinner and many more fun activities. Ages 3+ with a small fee.

Light to moderate senior aerobic class. Decrease the risk of osteoporosis and improve cardiovascular health while having fun doing it! SAGE program.

Rock Climbing

Consider our 30 foot rock wall for an excellent workout or just for fun. Think your kids are too old for daycare? Bring your kids to a club where you can both exercise. Our expert wall staff creates a safe environment for your children to both play and exercise at the same time. With an assortment of different routes to climb, your kids will constantly be challenged and intrigued. Our wall isn't just for kids; ask our wall staff how to use the rock wall as a training tool. Advanced climbers:   Our wall is expanding and we need your help. A large portion of each membership you buy goes towards expansion. The auto belay is open 24 hrs a day to climbers who are certified.   (Certification takes 1-5 visits depending on skill level.)

Sit and Be Fit

A class inspired by the Arthritis Foundation-for members who need some exercise but are limited due to illness, injury or disability, or people just beginning a healthy lifestyle. The class integrates creative movement and exercise to enjoyable music.Gen Fit Program

Spinning

Spinning is a unique indoor cycling workout. It brings the elements of athletic training to all people, young or old, man or woman, athletic or just fitness oriented. A beginner can sit next to a professional athlete and still benefit as greatly from the ride.   You can train at whatever fitness level you feel most comfortable because you control your own resistance, speed and intensity.

Our program is a specific cardiovascular performance oriented training system. Spinning develops strength and stamina, allowing you to lose body fat. You will feel powerful and enthusiastic.

Virtual Spinning Amphitheater - Our virtual spinning studio is the first in the North Valley. It instills a motivating environment using a state of the art stereo system and a 70 inch big screen TV. A regulated room temperature insures comfortable rides from Hawaii to the Everglades.

The Chico Corsa Cycling Club is an offshoot of this class and offers challenging, TEAM cycling with support and training for the avid cycling enthusiast!

Step

Step 1 - This entry level class involves stepping to music & moving up and down on a platform. It is designed to teach beginners the basic moves and choreography of step aerobics.

Step 2 - A class perfect for the intermediate stepper looking for a slightly faster paced class.

Step 3 - A fast paced step class that will keep you turning and spinning with fun, advanced choreography.

Step & Sculpt - Step workout for legs integrated with cardio and sculpting for your upper body. This is a total fitness workout that is great for all levels, especially those who have yet to experience the great workout that step has to offer. Come try it out!

Women With Weights

This group training program is designed to teach women of all ages and Fitness capabilities, including pre and post natal levels, the fundamentals of strength training and nutrition in a fun and supportive setting. Instructed by a group of elite female trainers. This program is sure to help each individual reach their goal, whether it be weight loss or simply toning. For your convenience, the classes are offered at several different times during the day.

Program 1 - Strictly weights. Women With Weights includes an informative orientation session for all beginners. Each participant receives a customized weight training program to fit their needs and fitness level. This class meets twice a week for 6 weeks and is sure to get you motivated and seeing results.

Program 2 - Cardio and weights. Women With Weights is for those who are ready to take their workouts to the next level. This class consists of both personalized weight training programs and intense cardiovascular sessions. The Level 2 group meets 3 times a week for 5 weeks.

Yoga

More than just a stretch... At the Club, yoga and its principals of posture, movement and breath fit neatly into the mind-body category. We have yoga for kids, sun rise yoga, restorative and gentle Eartha Shanti taught by 5 specialized and qualified instructors. NEW in 2008, pre-natal yoga, for your health and that of your baby!

Hatha Yoga - Hatha yoga is more than a mere stretching routine that incorporates breathing exercises. Literally translated, Hatha means "force-power-effort", or to unify the body and mind. In yoga 'ha,' "sun," 'tha,' and "moon" reflect the conceptual basis of the practice itself-that is the vital energy of life, while bringing harmony to the whole system.

Pilates Yoga - Pilates is also being developed which is the system focusing on core body strength with special emphasis on abdominal and back muscles.

Yoga and Pilates are taught at several levels by certified instructors and is offered several times week.

Yoga-late' is an exciting combination of yoga and pilates-it is good for all fitness levels and all ages.

ZUMBA

The Unique ZUMBA Latin inspired International music and dance steps create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system. Zumba is designed for everyone, every shape and age. Anyone can start a Zumba class and have fun! The program is not limited to dancers or fitness fanatics. ALL exercisers from beginner to advanced enjoy the benefits of a Zumba Class!!
